Title: Zorro: A Novel

I have read several of Isabel Allende's children's books.  They are extremely good.  I read this after that awful Dan Brown book, Digital Fortress.  I had expected this to have two dimensional characters, just like Digital Fortress.  I couldn't have been more wrong.

The characters were so full, vibrant.  They frequently turned in directions that I didn't anticipate.  The story itself was so captivating that I read late into the night when I should have gone to sleep.

So this is the story of how Zorro came to be.  It is inventive, yet just barely plausible.  It seems that movies about how superheroes come to be are always easy to do.  This falls into that genre.  I wonder if she will write a sequel.  If she does, I will be certain to read it.  I was sorry when this book was finished.
