Title: A Virtuous Woman

I'm not quite sure what to say about A Virtuous Woman.  I really liked the beginning.  I like the way that the same events are told from two different viewpoints.  It is nowhere near as dense or as accomplished this manipulation of viewpoints as is Atonement.  There was much that was available that was not explored.  It did explore the nature of love.

I didn't really enjoy the book that much.  Now that might be because I finished the book while in the hospital, not the best place for concentration.  Or it might just be the writing and perspective of the author.  Really, Kate Gibbons offered little new on the nature of love.  Lately, I have not much enjoyed books by women.  Perhaps they don't speak to me right now.

I recognize that this is a good book and would recommend it, particularly to women.
